Genesis is the foundation of our Christian foith. IF we don't know the book of Genesis, we don't know where we came from. More importantly, if we don't know about what happened when Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, we don't know about sin. If we don't know about sin, we don't really know why we need a Savior. If we don't know why we need a Savior, then we are left to our own devices to figure life out for ourselves, the result of which leads to everlasting darkness and separation from our Creator.
