 Love, Charles is a historical story, based upon letters a son wrote to his mother once he began boot camp during World War II. Many stories have been written about the horrors of war in the Pacific, the horrors that were encountered in Europe, and the battles fought against Japan and Germany, but few have shown the life people were living here on American soil during WWII. This is a love story, a story of family, patriotism and a young man maturing during a horrific time in our country’s history. The letters have not been edited; they are simple and direct from the heart of Charles, a man deeply committed to his family, his country, and Louise, the love of his life.
